About The Sibiu International Theatre Festival

The Sibiu International Theatre Festival presents, beyond a celebration of the arts, a perfect combination between theatre, dance, circus, film, book, conferences, exhibitions, performances, music, and an opportunity for learning and improvement for thousands of Romanian volunteers and strangers who joined the event annually, sometimes making friends for life.  

FITS also continues to develop a performance market and creative dialogue by supporting independent theater, meeting theater schools and academies, new playwright drama and creative experimentation. Complementarily, the Sibiu Performance Exchange offers all professionals in Romania and in the world, the chance to develop the language of the free market, in a world that needs more and more dialogue.
